JAMB arrest Polytechnic lecturers Over malpractices

In its assessment of Advanced Level (A-level) results presented by candidates to gain admission into universities, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has arrested over 47 proprietors, lecturers, and teachers of the Interim Joint Matriculation Board, IJMB, and the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board, JUPEB examination malpractice in the last one year.
According to the Director, Legal Services of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Dr Abdul Wahab Oyedokun , ninety percent of Advanced Level (A-level) certificates are presented by candidates to gain admission into universities were discovered to be fake.
Dr Abdul Wahab further said that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) continues to several measures to ensure total sanity in its examination processes.
Among the measures taken by the examination body includes the establishment of an Advanced Level (A Level) Certificates Data Bank in the country, deployment of sophisticated biometrics technology to curb multiple registrations in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
