Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny Orientate freshers for the 2024/2025 Academic Session

The environment of the higher institutions of learning is often a complex one for newly admitted students.
Conscious of this nomenclature and in the standards practice of most institutions of higher learning, the Polytechnic began orientation at the Departmental level for her newly admitted students. The Departmental orientation is followed by that of the Schools and subsequently the general orientation (all Schools) of the institution respectively.
The Department of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) began the process on Wednesday 22nd January 2025, with students taken on a ‘tour’ for available resources at their disposal in the Department. The students were introduced to all the Lecturers, Lecture Halls and Laboratories at the disposal of the Department.
The Head of Department (HOD) SLT, Awuhe Timothy Tertsea, Heads of Units present; Physics; Mr. Onyebueke D. Ekene, Mr. Ikor Peter U. Departments Exam Officer, Students Academic Advisory Committee Chairman and Members: Awuhe Timothy T. and Members: Onyebueke Ekene, Cookey Praise, Ikechukwu Chijioke and Longjohn Ibiene Rogers, and Coordinator School of Continuing Education (SCE) Mr. Ikechukwu Chijioke, Departmental Time Table Representative, Mrs Abbey Minaibim Friday, other Staff present were Mrs. Adeleke Titi, Mr. Igwe Anyim Ikenna all were present to grace the event at the Physics Laboratory.
On the whole, amidst other beehives of activities ongoing in the Institution, students of the Department were getting acclamatized and acquainted with the institution to adequately prepare them for the intellectual journey ahead in getting abreast of the challenges posed at the contemporary students of the (21st) Century.
