Ekiti State Polytechnic signs mou with ff hotel for hospitality management programme

Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan-Ekiti, has taken a significant step towards strengthening its Hospitality Management Technology programme by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FF Hotel, Iṣan-Ekiti. This collaboration aims to enhance the smooth running of the programme, which is among the seventeen programmes awaiting accreditation this month by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The MoU signing ceremony took place at FF Hotel’s premises on Friday, March 7, 2025, and was attended by key dignitaries from the Polytechnic.
Speaking at the event, the Rector, Dr. Ajeigbe, emphasized the importance of industry partnerships in technical education, noting that the collaboration would provide students with hands-on experience and practical exposure necessary for excellence in the hospitality sector. He expressed optimism that the accreditation of the programme would further position the Polytechnic as a leading institution for technical and vocational education in Nigeria.
The proprietor of FF Hotel, Mr. Ṣẹgun Fayemi, also commended the initiative, stating that the hotel was fully committed to supporting the Polytechnic in producing well-trained graduates who would meet industry standards.
Present at the event were the Rector, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe; the Registrar, Mrs. Abímbólá Yetunde Adewumi; the Bursar, Mr. Oludayo Awe; the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Ayodeji Akerele; and other Polytechnic senior officers. Also in attendance were the proprietor of FF Hotel, Mr. Ṣẹgun Fayemi, and the General Manager, Comrade Saliu Odunayo.
With this partnership, students of Hospitality Management Technology at Ekiti State Polytechnic will benefit from real-world training in a professional hospitality environment, aligning with global best practices in technical education.
