Light at the End of the Tunnel: Federal Poly Ede SUG Hints at Possible Resumption as ASUP Strike Nears Resolution

In a promising update for students, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Federal Polytechnic Ede has announced ongoing efforts to resolve the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), raising hopes for a return to academic activities soon.
In a message shared with the student body, the SUG described its members as “ever militant and ever courageous,” commending their resilience and understanding during this challenging period.
The union confirmed that it is working closely with the school management to engage ASUP in meaningful dialogue, with the aim of reaching a resolution that would enable students to resume their academic pursuits.
“We are expecting a response from the ASUP body, and we are hopeful that a resolution will be reached soon. In anticipation of the strike being called off, we urge all students to prepare to resume school,” the SUG stated.
While no official resumption date has been confirmed, the SUG assured students that they will be promptly informed of any new developments.
This latest update signals a potential end to the disruption that has stalled academic progress at the institution. Students are advised to stay alert and ready, as positive news may be just around the corner.
