No one actually knows what the future will look like, as people only predict, prepare, and hope for a better future. As the day passes by, our age keeps reducing and we begin to ask, “God when?”. Meanwhile, God himself has given a lot of opportunities to demonstrate potential and purity in line. There are basically three (3) things that will take you to higher places in life.

When we talk about higher places, it simply means your dream land, that is, a destination you never imagined you could get to in your life. Sometimes people call it grace, and other times they refer to it as luck, while some also describe it as a promised land. Just like a slave who later became a king. God himself will not ascend from heaven to tell you what to do that will take you to higher places. You need to figure that out yourself. Below are the 3 things that will take you to higher places in life.

1. EDUCATION.

Education can take you to a destination where ordinary people can never have access to. If you can try as much as possible to study hard and get good grades, you will surely enjoy the power of education as it opens doors to many opportunities. While you are studying in school, be focused, study hard, and know what you are doing.

Some people do say education is a scam, but it’s not because the same education has taken so many people to higher places in life. Education has made many people rich in Nigeria, while lots of others have been unlucky.

A graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro recently got a scholarship abroad. That opportunity could not have happened if she saw education as a scam.

Even if education is not useful in Nigeria, who told you it won’t be useful in other places? So don’t misuse the opportunity you have now. If you really believe in school, then be focused, study hard, and try your best to get good grades. Although education is not an automatic ticket to success, it can surely take you to higher places in life.

2. TALENT.

A talent is a natural ability or skill. A gift from God or one’s ability is talent. Sometimes talent can be called creativity. Talent has made the son of nobody become somebody in life. In fact, God has already blessed everyone with a particular talent, so it is up to you to discover yours. If you have discovered your talent, just keep working on how to improve it because sooner or later you will achieve success. Even with no education, if you are talented, you will dine with people who are educated and rich.

I’ve seen so many people, even popular celebrities, who are super rich with their talent, so I can tell you authoritatively that your talent can take you to higher places in life. I will encourage you to discover your talent. “Talent” means natural ability; that is, what you can do naturally. Some people can sing, compose, act in plays, and do lots of other things, and this has made them successful in life. Our forefathers used to ask the gods for the type of talent or gift their child possessed so they could shape them as they grew, but that is no longer the case due to civilization, so it is now up to you to find out and unleash that beast in you because it could lead you to higher places in life.

3. SKILL.

A skill is the capacity to do something well; it is a technique or ability. Skills are usually acquired or learned. A skill can take you to higher places in life. The guy who designed the logo for INNOSON Motors was offered billions of Naira with just his skill as a graphic designer. I also came across a boy who made drones and was offered scholarships abroad.

Have you acquired any skills at all? Your skills can get you connected. Your skills can take you to higher places in life. Your skills can make you rich. But sadly, people are not ready to learn any skills. Instead, they prefer to get rich quickly by forgetting that God himself didn’t create all creatures in one day. If you want to get to higher places in life, then you need to multiply your skills. Have you signed up for any skills this year, or do you depend only on your education?

There are lots of offline and online skills that you can sign up for. One skill might not make you rich, but it will make you neither rich nor poor. A skill can also make you famous and, as well, take you to higher places in life. If you didn’t make it with education, if you didn’t make it with talent, trust me, you can make it with skill only if you wake up on time and discover what works for you.

Education, talent, and skills are essential things that will take you to higher places in life. I was able to discover my talent as a “mere writer” with the help of education, and I’ve also learned other skills that have taken me to places I never imagined I could get to. So I’m challenging you today to never give up on education and also try as much as possible to discover your talents and learn skills that are demandable, as these are the things that will definitely take you to higher places in life.

If you are a student, study hard and get good grades. Don’t be discouraged by what people say about education. If you have a talent, all you have to do is believe in yourself, keep trying, and put effort into it. Don’t be discouraged by what others say about your talent; instead, put more effort into it. Accept corrections as this will allow you to arrive at your promised land on time. Also, if you have any skill, keep doing it and pushing.
