Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has officially published the merit admission scores for the 2024/2025 academic session, covering National Diploma (ND) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Education programs. The merit list provides insight into the minimum scores required for prospective students to secure admission into various programs at Nigeria’s leading polytechnic.

Top-Performing ND Programs

According to the released list, ND Accountancy recorded the highest merit score at 66.6, followed closely by ND Mass Communication (65.8), ND Science Laboratory Technology (65.6), and ND Computer Science (65.6). These competitive programs have maintained a high cut-off, reflecting strong demand among applicants.

Other notable merit scores include:

• ND Business Administration & Management – 64.2
• ND Banking & Finance – 63.9
• ND Computer Engineering – 63.4
• ND Electrical & Electronics Engineering – 63.4

Meanwhile, programs such as ND Urban & Regional Planning (50.1) and ND Welding & Fabrication (50.4) recorded the lowest merit scores for admission.

B.Sc Education Merit Scores

For B.Sc Education programs, B.Sc Art Education secured the highest merit score at 61.8, while B.Sc Biology Education followed with 59.7. Other programs such as B.Sc Computer Education (58.4) and B.Sc Business Education (56.1) also featured prominently on the list.

The lowest cut-off for B.Sc Education programs was B.Sc Physics Education at 50.6.
