THE POLYTECHNIC IRESI APPOINTS NEW RECTOR

The Governing council of The Polytechnic Iresi under the chairmanship of Dr. Kayode Olagunju has approved the appointment of Dr. Azeez Olakunle Adewoyin as the Rector of the institution who is currently on sabbatical in the institution and Mr. Samuel Ojo as the registrar respectively.
This was contained in a statement issued by the institution Bursar Deacon Adejumo John on behalf of the management of the institution on Wednesday.
The newly appointed rector also made an historical visit to the institution on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 for familiarization tour and inspection of the facilities in the school. He noted that the facilities put in place by the management of the institution is no doubt of a world class standard which will not only help the students in learning but also increase their practical skills.
He however, expressed his satisfaction on the facilities and promised to procure more equipment to improve practical skills and learning of the students.
His appointment takes effect from Tuesday October 2, 2024, but was officially presented to the members of staff of the institution on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
Dr. Adewoyin holds an impressive academic background, Doctor of philosophy (PhD) in Banking and finance from Nnamdi Azikwe University Awka in 2016 and holds the Master Degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University respectively.
Mr. Adewoyin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role and his appointment is expected to usher in a period of growth and innovation of the Polytechnic Iresi.
