Relief at Last! Federal Poly Bauchi SUG Delivers Privacy Boost with 110 New Hostel Door Covers

In a remarkable move aimed at boosting student welfare, the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has commissioned 110 trampoline door covers for both male and female hostels. The initiative is already being hailed as a major step towards enhancing comfort and privacy for students using the hostels’ bathroom and toilet facilities.
During the official commissioning, SUG President Comrade Haruna Umar described the project as a fulfillment of his campaign promise. “This is just one of many projects we have lined up for the students. Our administration is committed to improving their living conditions,” he assured. According to him, the trampoline door covers were fully funded by the SUG through dues collected from students.
Hostel administrators, Malam Mohammed Balarabe and Hajiya Rukayya, commended the SUG for its proactive approach to addressing the hostel’s pressing needs. They described the project as a timely intervention and offered prayers for the success of Comrade Umar’s administration.
The students themselves have warmly welcomed the development. Ahmad Nasir, a resident of one of the hostels, expressed his gratitude: “This is a great initiative. It shows that the SUG is listening to our concerns and taking action to make hostel life better.”
The commissioning of the new door covers highlights the SUG’s ongoing commitment to student welfare. As expectations rise for more student-centered projects, the current administration appears to be setting a new standard for student leadership at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi.
