Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti Clarifies NYSC Mobilization for Evening and Part-Time Students

The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti (FPA) has issued an important notice to all Evening and Part-Time students, especially those from the National Diploma Evening Programmes, regarding their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization status.
According to the circular released on August 21, 2025, the institution confirmed that it has already submitted all necessary requirements to the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and NYSC, in line with the directive of the Honorable Minister of Education on the mobilization of ND Evening students. The Polytechnic now awaits full implementation of the directive by the appropriate authorities.
In the clarification, the Registrar, Mrs. O.B. Awoniyi, highlighted two options for affected students:
- Students willing to wait for mobilization were advised to exercise patience until the directive is fully implemented.
- Students who prefer to apply for Exclusion Letters can do so once the NYSC portal is open, ensuring they obtain the certificate in time for employment or other opportunities.
The Polytechnic further explained that the mobilization challenge is not peculiar to FPA but a general issue affecting all Polytechnics and Universities across Nigeria.
The management appealed for calm, patience, and understanding among students while assuring them that relevant authorities are actively working to resolve the matter.
