The Plateau State Polytechnic community came alive recently as final-year students rounded off their Final Year Brethren (FYB) Week with a colorful display of culture, creativity, and entertainment.
The week-long celebration featured a series of activities including Cultural Day, Jersey Day, Costume Day, Old School Day, and Rag Day, giving students the chance to showcase their diversity, fashion sense, and unity.
On Cultural Day, the campus was filled with vibrant traditional attire representing different ethnic groups across Nigeria. Students proudly displayed their heritage through dance, music, and food exhibitions, promoting cultural awareness and unity.
Jersey Day followed with students donning the jerseys of their favorite football clubs and national teams, adding excitement and sporting rivalry to the festivities.
The Costume Day event turned the campus into a mini fashion runway, with students appearing in creative outfits ranging from movie characters to iconic personalities.
On Old School Day, the polytechnic environment was transformed into a nostalgic scene as students rocked vintage outfits, reliving fashion trends of past decades with style and humor.
The celebrations ended with Rag Day, a tradition where final-year students showcased their creativity in eccentric outfits, parading around campus in high spirits, and engaging in charity activities.
Speaking about the significance of the week, some students described FYB Week as a memorable part of their academic journey, giving them an opportunity to bond with colleagues while leaving lasting memories in the institution.
The successful hosting of the FYB Week once again highlighted the vibrant student culture of Plateau State Polytechnic and the strong spirit of togetherness that defines the school community.
