Procedures for the Collection of Results and Certificates at The Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti (ADO POLY)
Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti is one of the fastest schools in Nigeria, and so is the process of collecting your results and certificate from the school. If you have graduated from the institution, first I want to congratulate you because it’s not easy to make it out of that giant school.
To collect your result or certificate from the school, you need to budget at least #15,000 for the clearance. Although you may not spend up to that, it’s advisable to have at least #15,000 when coming for your clearance, both ND and HND.
Procedures for Collection of Results at The Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti.
1. GET YOUR ORIGINAL O’LEVEL RESULT.
You will be required to provide the original copy of your O’level result before the school can give you your statement of result, so make sure you bring it along with you when coming for clearance. For HND students, come along with the original copy of your ND statement of result.

2. COLLECT CLEARANCE FROM EXAMS AND RECORDS.
You will need to visit the exams and records unit to collect your final-year clearance form. The office is located at Old SBS. Please know that this form is free.
For the school of science, engineering, environmental, and agricultural technology. You will be given two forms, one for the school and the other for the department. So you have to be cleared at your department by your coordinator, HOD, project supervisor, and the laboratory attendants before you proceed for the school clearance.

3. COMMENCE THE REGISTRATION AND SIGNING.
After collecting the clearance form from the exams and records unit, you will see the space provided on the form and then begin to visit each office and unit to get cleared.

4. GET CLEARED AT YOUR DEPARTMENT.
After collecting the clearance form, take it to your department to be cleared. Your HOD will clear you after asking some questions. There is no money required here, and some departments may request a certain fee before they clear you.

5. PROCEED TO THE BURSARY FOR CLEARANCE.
If you are a part-time or evening student, you are to visit the satellite campus bursary unit to get cleared, while full-time and morning students will get theirs done at the bursary unit in the main campus. Documents needed to be cleared at the bursary unit are:
- All your course registration forms.
- All your payment receipts
- Assogov/SUG receipts
- CEC association/conference fees receipt (for old part-time students)
- EED receipts (for old part-time students only)
- Evidence of payment of school fees (from ND1 to NDII, or HND1-HINDII)
- Evidence of payment of school fees from NDI-NDIII/HND1-HINDIII (for old part-time students only)
- Medical receipts, library receipts, and other school fees paid during your studentship at the polytechnic.
- You will not be cleared if you are unable to provide your payment receipts.
6. PROCEED TO THE DIGITAL LIBRARY FOR CLEARANCE.
You are to proceed to the digital library for clearance. To get cleared, you will be required to present your library card, and if you can’t provide it, you will pay #300 for the card, and you will be cleared there.

7. PROCEED TO STUDENT AFFAIRS BESIDE THE LAGOS HOSTEL FOR CLEARANCE.
You are to come along with your identity card and SUG/ASOGOV receipt. This process will cost you #500 to get cleared at the student affairs office.

8. PROCEED TO THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTRE
The next thing is to proceed to the entrepreneurship center at Ijan for clearance. To get cleared, you are to come along with:
- Evidence of payment of EED FEES (for old part-time students only)
- Evidence of payment of school fees and all other fees required from Y1 to Y2
- You will spend #200–#500 here to get cleared.

9. Proceed to the alumni building behind the school stadium for clearance.
To get cleared by the chairman of the alumni, you will pay an alumni fee of #2,050 and an endowment fee of #5,000. This money is to be paid into the designated bank. After making the payment, go back to the alumni building to get cleared.

10. Proceed to the academic office (Exams and Records).
This is the final stage, where you will collect your results. After you have been cleared at the department, bursary, library, student affairs, and EED, make a photocopy of your clearance form and submit it to the exams and records unit.
- After submitting your clearance form here, you will have to wait for some time to collect your result.
- Documents required here are your O’level result and clearance form.
The officer in charge will bring out your school file and cross-check to see if your biodata is accurate. If you don’t submit your school file, no result for you. So make sure you have submitted your school file to the school before coming for your final-year clearance.

Procedures to Collect Your Certificate
Visit the exams and records unit; you will make a payment of #10,000 to get your certificate. The documents required to collect your ND certificate are the original copy of your O’level result and the original copy of your ND statement of result.
To collect your HND certificate, you will pay #15,000 only, and you are to come along with the original copy of your ND statement of result and the original copy of your HND statement of result to get your HND certificate.
The Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti ND/HND certificate is always ready 3 years after the issuance of your ND/HND statement of result.
How many days does the result clearance take?
It takes just two or three days for some departments, depending on the availability of the staff to attend to you. So if you are coming from a long distance, make arrangements to sleep over because you may not be able to finish the clearance within a day.

Can I apply for the HND form pending when I clear my result?
Sure! But you will need to present the result before the school can clear you at the admission office, so make sure you collect your result as early as possible.
What if I didn’t submit my school file during my studentship days on campus?
There is no result for you if you didn’t submit your school file.

What are the important things I must come up with to clear my result?
For ND, evidence of payment of all school fees for both year 1 and 2, your identity card, library card, and original O’level result. For HND, come along with the original copy of your ND statement of result and an original copy of your O’level result are required and evidence of payment of school fees.
