Osun State Polytechnic Bans Use of Notification of Result for HND Admissions — Affected Students Must Present Certificates

The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has announced a new policy affecting all newly admitted Higher National Diploma (HND) students from certain external institutions.
In an internal memorandum dated July 29, 2025, the Deputy Registrar (AA) directed all Faculty Officers and Directorate Officers (Part-Time Programmes) to stop accepting Notifications of Result in place of original certificates for registration purposes.
According to the memo, the affected institutions include:
- The Polytechnic, Ibadan
- Ogun State ICT Polytechnic, Igbesa
- The Polytechnic, Iresi
- Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin
The management explained that these institutions have informed Osun State Polytechnic that all their graduates must present their original certificates and not just a Notification of Result when seeking admission into the HND programme.
Students who have already submitted a Notification of Result have been asked to retrieve it and return to their former schools to collect their official certificates before they can complete their registration.
The Registrar’s office urged staff to ensure this directive receives wide publicity so that affected students are properly informed and can take prompt action.
