NYSC Opens 2026 Registration Portal March 12 – What Prospective Corps Members Must Know

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that its online registration portal will open for prospective corps members preparing for mobilisation in the upcoming service cycle.

According to the announcement, the registration portal will be accessible from March 12 to March 18, 2026, allowing eligible Nigerian graduates to complete their mobilisation registration online.

The scheme disclosed the information through a public notice shared on its official social media platforms, urging qualified graduates to take advantage of the registration window to process their participation in the mandatory national service programme.

In the notice addressed to prospective corps members, the NYSC explained that only graduates whose names appear on the officially approved Senate or Academic Board lists submitted by their respective institutions will be eligible to register on the portal.

The agency emphasized that institutions must first approve students’ results through their Senate or Academic Board before uploading the approved lists to the NYSC database. Only graduates whose details appear on these lists will be able to access the online registration system.

The NYSC advised prospective corps members to carefully verify their personal information before beginning the registration process to avoid delays or errors that could affect their mobilisation.

Graduates were also encouraged to visit the official NYSC website and follow the scheme’s verified social media channels to obtain detailed instructions and updates about the registration procedure.

The scheme stressed the importance of ensuring that all personal details submitted during registration are accurate and consistent with official records.

Prospective corps members were specifically advised to confirm that the name registered with the National Identity Management Commission matches the name that appears on their Senate list and the NYSC portal.

The agency also reminded applicants to ensure that their names correspond exactly with those printed on their academic certificates or statements of result to avoid complications during the mobilisation process.

In addition, graduates were urged to use the Senate list verification portal to confirm that their names have been successfully uploaded by their institutions before attempting to complete the online registration.

The NYSC noted that verifying these records in advance will help applicants avoid common registration issues and ensure a smooth mobilisation process.

The online registration process remains an essential requirement for all Nigerian graduates who intend to participate in the national youth service programme, which provides young graduates with the opportunity to contribute to national development while gaining work experience in different parts of the country.

Prospective corps members are therefore encouraged to complete their registration within the scheduled period to secure their participation in the upcoming mobilisation batch.
