No Plans to Increase Tuition Fees – Delta State University Ozoro MGT Clarifies School Fee Increment

The management of the Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro has dismissed the news flying round on social media and some speculated areas that the school Fees for the 2022/2023 session had been increased.
The school management described the report as fallacy and untrue, adding that the approved school fees for the 2022/2023 session is yet to be released.
The students had earlier demonstrated a peaceful protest to express dissatisfaction over the alleged school fees increment.
While addressing the students, the management said:
“Following the impromptu gathering of students leading to protest this morning, Monday, 6th February, 2023 over an alleged school fees hike, Management wishes to put the records in proper perspective, and to state that the University has not increased school fees for 200 level students, and to assure them that school fees for 200 and 100 Levels cannot be the same, adding that the University Authority has not published any school fees schedule for 200 Level. The school fees schedule will be published and circulated within the next 48 hours.”
“Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. J. S. Oborch has enjoined the students to go about their normal class activities and not to allow themselves to be used by external influence.”
