Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic was established by Akwa Ibom State government edict no. 11 of 1991. The decision to establish the institution was taken after the creation of Akwa Ibom State from Cross River State in 1987. the official commissioning of the institution took place on friday, 24th January 1992.

Akwa Ibom State polytechnic is one fastest and Best Polytechnic in Nigeria. The polytechnic community is peaceful and both academic and Nonacademic activities are going on peacefully in the polytechnic and the polytechnic community.

AKWA IBOM STATE POLYTECHNIC SCHOOL FEES.

In Akwapoly, school fees can be paid either twice or in whole, that is, 60 percent in the first semester and 40 percent in the second semester. There is also a disparity as Indigene students’ school fees are cheaper compared to non-Indigene students.
