Kano State Polytechnic Holds Orientation Programme for Students at SORTED Rano Campus


The School of Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship Development (SORTED), Rano Campus of Kano State Polytechnic, has organized an orientation ceremony for fresh and returning students as part of efforts to prepare them for a successful academic session.
The orientation programme was held on Monday, May 11, 2026, and focused on equipping students with essential information needed to navigate academic and campus life effectively.
During the event, students were sensitized on key areas including examination conduct, institutional dress code, guidelines for the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), and acceptable behavioural standards within the school environment.
Management of the institution noted that the programme was designed to promote discipline, academic excellence, and awareness of institutional regulations among students.
The orientation also provided an avenue for students to better understand the expectations of the institution and the importance of maintaining good conduct throughout their academic journey.
The statement was issued by Auwal Ismail Bagwai, Head of Public Affairs of the institution.
