For the first time in the history of the Isa Mustapha Agwai l Polytechnic, Lafia, students of the institution will enjoy hostel accommodation from the next academic session.

Dr. Maifata said with the on-going efforts to provide habitable accommodation and conducive environment for teaching and learning, his administration is committing resources to fix the hostel built by the state government to accommodate a large number of students.
He said the Polytechnic must be united to fight its development challenges as efforts are on top gear to curb the issues of insecurity, accommodation amongst others as a new security outfit has been engaged headed by a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police to nip it in the bud.
According to him, the Polytechnic would not at anytime under his watch default the recruitment process of academic and non-academic staff as it is a breeding ground for the nation’s future leaders, explaining that compromising employment standard is a big tragedy.
He called on the former SUG leaders to support the efforts of the government in developing their alma mater to achieve its dreams.
Earlier, the Leader of the Past SUG Presidents from the institution, Comrade Francis Christopher, said the union is pleased to be associated with the Polytechnic, insisting that recently they began to read, hear and see positive developments about the institution which they are proud of.
