Police officers arrested for k!lling Kwara Polytechnic student

Police officers accused of k!lling a 21-year-old student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Qoyum Ishola, during a fuel hike protest by the students last week Wednesday have been arrested.
Qoyum, an ND2 student of Electrical/Electronics Engineering at the institution, was allegedly killed by the Police in a mysterious circumstance in the Fate area, Ilorin during the protest. The students had taken to the streets to protest after the petrol pump price was increased from N568 to N878.
Many students of the institution have taken to social media to demand justice for their colleagues.
Reacting to the sad incident on social media, the spokesperson of the Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the accused officers have been arrested and are currently in detention. He also hinted at the possibility of exhuming the corpse of the deceased for a post-mortem examination to be carried out so as to ascertain the cause of d£ath.
