Federal Polytechnic Bali Begins 2026 Students’ Week as Rector’s and Registrar’s Cup Kicks Off With 6-0 Thriller

The Federal Polytechnic Bali has officially flagged off its 2026 Rector’s and Registrar’s Cup Competition, marking the beginning of this year’s Students’ Week celebration with an exciting football encounter at the Hostel Sports Complex.

The opening ceremony was conducted on behalf of the Polytechnic Management by the Deputy Registrar, Student Affairs, Alhaji Mustapha Juoro, alongside members of the Sports Committee.

Addressing students and participants, Juoro highlighted the importance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, unity, and physical fitness. He urged all competitors to uphold the spirit of fairness and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

The opening match of the male football competition saw the Department of Office Technology and Management (OTM) deliver a dominant performance against the Department of Statistics.

OTM outclassed their opponents from start to finish, recording a convincing 6-0 victory to make a strong statement in the race for the 2026 Rector’s Cup.

Auwal Sallau emerged as the star of the match with an impressive hat-trick, while Abdul Solomon added two goals. Timothy Donald completed the rout with the sixth goal to seal an emphatic victory for Office Technology and Management.

The tournament continues with more exciting fixtures as the Students’ Week celebration gathers momentum.

In the female football category, the Department of Science Laboratory Technology will face AHP/CP, while the male football competition will feature Business Administration and Management against the Department of Accountancy.

Students, staff, and members of the Polytechnic community have been encouraged to attend the matches and support their respective teams as the annual sporting event continues.
