MAPOLY Launches Digital Platform for Academic Records Processing, Introduces MICS System

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has taken a significant step toward digital transformation with the introduction of the MAPOLY Integrated Central System (MICS), a modern platform designed for the electronic processing of academic documents.
The initiative aligns with global best practices in educational administration and reflects the institution’s commitment to improving efficiency, transparency, and service delivery. The MICS platform serves as a centralized digital hub for academic services, simplifying processes that were previously time-consuming and complex.
Developed under the framework “Sorting Peculiar Educational Administrative Knots Seamlessly (SPEAKS),” the system is designed to eliminate bottlenecks associated with the processing and collection of academic records. It provides students and graduates with a seamless and user-friendly experience, enabling faster access to essential documents.
According to the Polytechnic Management, all academic records have been successfully migrated to the new digital platform and will be activated in phases. As part of the initial rollout, the Notification of Result is now fully available, allowing graduates to process and print their documents directly through the MICS portal.
During the official presentation of the first electronically generated Notification of Result, the Rector, Arc. Dr. ‘Koye Jolaoso, described the development as a major milestone in the institution’s digitalisation journey. He congratulated all stakeholders involved in the project and commended the first beneficiary, Ajayi Precious, a graduate of the Department of Accountancy who achieved a Distinction.
The introduction of the Notification of Result follows the earlier approval by the Academic Board to replace the traditional Statement of Result, effective from the 2024/2025 academic session. The new document is designed to enhance credibility, security, and ease of verification.
To ensure system integrity, only students with verified profiles will be granted access to process and print academic documents on the platform. In addition, the Notification of Result is embedded with advanced security features, including a QR code that allows for quick authentication and verification by institutions and employers.
This development positions MAPOLY as a forward-looking institution embracing digital innovation to improve administrative processes, enhance student experience, and align with international standards in higher education management.
