Over 100 Applicants Considered in Competitive Selection Process
The Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and merit in the appointment of new principal officers within the institution.
According to the Council, the recent appointments were conducted through a rigorous and credible process designed to uphold integrity and institutional excellence.
Newly Appointed Principal Officers
Following the selection exercise, the Council approved the appointment of qualified candidates into key leadership positions:
• Dr. Azeez Olasunkanmi Ojo as Acting Rector
• Mrs. Bukola Elizabeth Dairo as Registrar and Secretary to the Council
• Mr. Oluseyi Abiola Afolabi as Bursar
• Mr. Dare Samuel Adeleke as Acting Polytechnic Librarian
These appointments are expected to strengthen administrative efficiency and support the institution’s academic and operational goals.
Strict Compliance with Regulatory Guidelines
The Governing Council emphasized that the entire process strictly adhered to the provisions of the Polytechnic Act, as well as the guidelines set by the Federal Character Commission (FCC). This ensured equal opportunity, fairness, and compliance with national standards in public sector appointments.
Transparent and Merit-Based Selection Process
The Council disclosed that the recruitment exercise attracted significant interest, with over 104 qualified applicants competing for the available positions.
Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of Council, Hon. Yakubu Dati, the Acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations, Mr. Sunday Adepoju, highlighted the thorough nature of the process.
He noted that the Council carefully reviewed all applications and adopted a multi-stage evaluation system, including:
• Detailed screening of credentials
• Structured interviews
• Computer-based assessments
This comprehensive approach enabled the Council to identify and select the most competent and qualified candidates for each role.
