FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ADO-EKITI COMMENCES LECTURES FOR 2024/2025, HOSTEL ALLOCATION ENDS

The Directorate of Students’ Affairs, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, has announced the commencement of the hostel allocation process for the 2024/2025 academic session. According to a circular dated January 6, 2025, the exercise is set to begin on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, and involves a detailed procedure for securing hostel accommodation.
Eligibility and Steps for Allocation
- Freshers (NDI and HNDI) are to present evidence of payment for the acceptance fee at the Students’ Affairs Office.
- Returning Students must provide evidence of payment for additional required fees, including Students’ Union dues (SUB) and Student Support Materials (SSM).
- An Authority to Pay Hostel Fee slip will be issued at the Students’ Affairs Office upon verification of these payments.
- Students must not pay hostel fees without obtaining the Authority to Pay slip, as failure to follow the proper procedure will result in no bed space being allocated.
- Hostel fees range between ₦20,000 and ₦40,000, depending on the type of accommodation selected.
Payment Details
The list of compulsory fees includes:
- Acceptance Fee (Freshers only): ₦45,000
- Hostel Fee: ₦20,000
- TETFUND Female Hostel: ₦40,000
- Other Fees (Lapel, SUB, SSM, and Hall Dues): Between ₦500 and ₦1,500.
Students are advised to submit their receipts to the bursary department for verification. Additionally, proof of payment must be presented at the Lagos Porters’ Lodge for final hostel allocation.
Important Dates
- The hostel allocation process ends on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
- Students will not be permitted into the hostel without completing the necessary procedures by the deadline.
