FAO Team Visits Federal Polytechnic Mubi on Strategic Assessment Tour

The Federal Polytechnic Mubi had the honor of receiving a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), led by Dr. Nafisa, on a strategic visit aimed at exploring collaboration opportunities.
The team was received by the Deputy Rector (Academics), Dr. Mustapha Dauda Belel, who led an engagement with members of the Polytechnic Management. During the meeting, the FAO delegation briefed the management on the purpose of their visit, which was to assess the institution’s facilities and capacity in readiness for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program for veterinary paraprofessionals in Adamawa State.
The proposed program aims to empower veterinary paraprofessionals to become entrepreneurs, contributing to animal health services and rural development. The Federal Polytechnic Mubi is being considered as a key implementing partner in this important training initiative.
As part of the visit, the FAO team conducted a comprehensive tour of relevant facilities, expressing satisfaction with what they saw — stating that the institution had exceeded their expectations in terms of preparedness and infrastructure.
The team later paid a courtesy visit to the Rector, Dr. Abdulrahman Aspita Ishaka, who was briefed by the Deputy Rector (Academics) on the outcomes of the earlier session. The Rector appreciated the FAO team for their visit and reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s commitment to supporting development initiatives that align with national and global goals.
This visit marks a significant step toward strategic collaboration in agricultural development, veterinary capacity building, and professional empowerment.
