EKITI COLLEGE OF HEALTH IJERO INTRODUCES CCTV MONITORING TO ENHANCE EXAMS INTEGRITY

The authorities of the Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, have taken a bold step in enhancing examination integrity by installing CCTV cameras in designated examination halls within the college premises.
The Chairman of the College’s Governing Council, Dr. Femi Thomas, restated the Council’s commitment to improving academic standards in the institution, while assessing the conduct of the second semester examinations.
Dr. Thomas, accompanied by a Council member, Hon. Samuel Aina and the institution’s Principal Officers, noted that the newly introduced CCTV cameras aim to instill a culture of discipline, diligence, and hard work among students.
He emphasized the institution’s commitment to producing qualified middle-level health service providers who can compete globally with their peers.
Dr. Thomas also stressed the need for health-based institutions to avoid producing half-baked professionals, as this could have adverse effects on public health.
In a conversation with the Council Chairman, some students noted that the introduction of CCTV cameras in examination halls would motivate their peers to stay focused.
Known for its high academic standards and professional training, the Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, is currently undergoing transmutation into a Polytechnic.
