Delta State Government Opens 2025/2026 Bursary Registration for Students

The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has officially commenced online registration for the 2025/2026 Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS) bursary programme for eligible students of Delta State origin.

According to a special announcement issued by the Board, the bursary scheme is designed to support qualified Delta State students studying in approved public and private tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The Board stated that applicants must be indigenes of Delta State and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN). Candidates are also required to be full-time students of government-approved institutions, while PGD, Master’s, and PhD students are not eligible for the scheme.

To qualify for the bursary award, applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.20 from the previous academic session and must currently be in 200 level and above in universities, ND II or HND II in polytechnics and monotechnics, as well as NCE II or III in colleges of education.

Eligible students are also expected to have an account with a CBN-approved commercial bank.

The Board directed interested applicants to complete their registration online through Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board by clicking on the “Apply Now” portal.

Applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable online processing fee of ₦800 using a debit card. Successful applicants are advised to download and print their online acknowledgement slip for record purposes.

According to the announcement, the registration portal will remain open for four weeks, beginning from Monday, May 11, 2026, to Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

The Board also disclosed that physical verification exercises will commence after the close of online registration.
