Courses Offered in Joemarine Institute of Nautical Studies and Research Effurun and Their School Fees
Joemarine Institute of Nautical Studies and Research is an indigenous Nigeria firm registered in Nigeria with the corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the institute was founded by Late Capt (Dr) Joel Opuro Epidei, he was a master mariner with over thirty years’ experience in the maritime industry, he grew from being a steward , quartermaster, river master, mate and finally master, his years of experience has earned him several positions during his years as a mariner and includes the title of a port captain, HSE Superintendent and a marine consultant.
During this period as part of his responsibility, he conducted in house training for both shore base personnel and offshore crews. And due to his passion to transfer knowledge and to improve human capacity and competence in the Maritime Industry, couple with the increased numbers of seafarers constantly coming to seek more knowledge from him. He then started an house training for seafarers in his 2 bedroom apartment, situated at 105 Okere Ugborikoko Road, Okumagba Avenue, Warri-Delta State, which later gave birth to Joemarine Institute in 1997. Joemarine commenced business in the year 1997, with few approved courses by the Agency (NIMASA) meeting the needs of seafarers.
