AKWAPOLY Matriculates Newly Admitted Students

Matriculating Students

The Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene had on Thursday 21st April, 2022 matriculated over 2,576 students into Full-time/Partime and Evening programmes of the great citadel of learning.

The Rector of the institution, Dr. Moses Umobong, graciously led other members of the Management board and Deans of Schools during the ceremony which took place at the convocation ground.

In his remarks the Rector, Dr. Umobong, congratulated the freshmen for their success during the admission process, He urged the newly admitted Students to be law abiding and shun all manner of illegalities in the institution.

He stressed the need for students both old and new to be studious in their academics, noting that the only way to success is students making good use of opportunities and putting in their best mostly in an academic environment of this nature.

Pleased with the positive nomenclature of graduates from the citadel in the society he further stressed that the Institution has not relent efforts to make sure she continue to raise the bar of execellence through creating of good relationship among management and the entire students of the institution.

Dr. Moses, in appreciation of the Governor, Udom Emmanuel completion agenda, he applauded his contributions on the various projects in the institution above all, the NBTE Accreditation forth coming.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of matriculating students of various Schools by Deans of Schools, administration of matriculation pledge by the Registrar as well as formal admission of the students by the Rector..

The occasion had in attendance the Rector, Barr. Moses Umobong, Deputy Rector, Engr. Okon Osung and other Management Board Members, Dean of Schools, HOD’S, SUG Executives, Parliamentarians, etc.
