10 Disadvantages and Negative Effects of Being Single

While being single may actually be a positive way to improve yourself, being single can also wear you down. At least, you need to pluck yourself from this kind of situation.

1. LONELINESS.

Loneliness is one of the disadvantages of being single because there is nobody to keep your company when you are bored. Although some people can deal with it, not everyone is capable of that.

2. PRESSURE FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

People who are single usually face a lot of pressure from their family and friends because they expect them to marry and have kids. If you’re single, your friends will start pressuring you with questions like “Where is your lover?” In fact, your parents may ask you, “When are we seeing your lover?” and this can be frustrating for you.

3. NO SEX.

This is one of the disadvantages of being single because there might be nobody to take care of you when you’re extremely sick.

6. YOU PREPARATE YOUR FOOD AND EAT ALONE.

For instance, if you are tired at work, you could call your partner to assist you with dinner, which will save you from another stress of cooking.

7. NOBODY TO LEAN ON OR TALK TO.

8. LACK OF INTIMACY.

9. MENTAL PROBLEMS.
