SUG Presidents Gives Plateau Government 2Weeks Ultimatum to End Strike
The Student Union Presidents, Plateau state chapter said it gave the plateau state government two(2) weeks ultimatum to address the issues that led to the disruption of academic activities in all the government owned tertiary institutions in the state.
Chairman of the Forum, comrade Danladi Joshua, said they will be left with no other choice than to mobilize Nigerian students to protest if the government refused to address the lingering issues.
“It is no longer new that our institution has been closed down and there seems no end in sight to restore the press home demands of our lecturers. This has only caused a major setback in our academic calendar, but a deteriorating signal to our future inclusive of those yet unborn.;
“The time is here to defend and protect our future; after a series of deliberations and engagement we resolved to issue a two weeks ultimatum to the state government to find a way of putting a lasting end to these recurrent strike actions.”
