OSUN POLY Rector Attends ASUP International Conference

The Rector, Osun state Polytechnic Iree, Dr. ‘Woye Olaniran last week attended the opening ceremony of the 3rd International Conference organized by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Chapter.
Dr. ‘Woye Olaniran said while addressing the attendees that the choice of the conference theme (TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND INNOVATION: TRAJECTORY FOR SUSTAINABLE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE FACE OF CONTEMPORARY GLOBAL CHALLENGES ) was not accidental.
He said it was borne out of the need to enable the participants to develop a coordinated, participatory and interactive process of thoughts and actions to achieve economic, environmental and social objective in a balanced and integrative manner, through Technical Education and Innovation.

He appreciated the entire executives of the ASUP, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Chapter for initiating the conference at a time the international community needs Technical/ Vocational Education to develop employability skills in the students or youths for them to be self-employed at such a period like this when white collar jobs are not available.
