OGITECH Students’ Union Releases Approved Campus Transport Fare for 2025/2026 Session

Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa Students’ Union Government has officially announced the approved campus transport fare for students for the 2025/2026 academic session, in a move aimed at ensuring fairness and preventing arbitrary charges within the campus environment.

According to a public notice issued on 8th May, 2026, the Union confirmed that the standard transport fares for motorcycle (okada) services within the campus have been fixed as follows: a single student ride will cost ₦200, while two students sharing a ride will pay ₦300.

The Students’ Union emphasized that any rider charging above the approved fare should be promptly reported to the relevant Union officials for immediate action. Students were encouraged to cooperate with the directive to maintain order and protect the welfare of the campus community.

The Union listed contact points for reporting violations, including the Transport Director, Welfare Director, and the Union President, who will oversee enforcement and address complaints from students.

In its statement, the Students’ Union Government reiterated its commitment to safeguarding student interests, ensuring transparency in transportation charges, and promoting a safe and orderly campus environment. It also urged students to share the information widely to avoid confusion and ensure compliance across the institution.

The leadership of the Union reaffirmed its dedication to student welfare and promised to continue acting as a voice for the student body in matters affecting daily campus life.
