OGITECH Removes Disparity Between HND and B.sc

The representative of the alumni body of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa led by Mr. Sholotan,  Kazeem paid a courtesy visit to the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye who is the 3rd Substantive Rector of the Institute on Thursday, 14th September,  2023.

The body was warmly welcomed by the Rector and other Management team as they were being introduced by Mr. Arogunjo, Emmanuel, a member of the body who is also a staff of the Institute’s Public Relations unit.

He further explained the purpose of the alumni body within the Institute and how the development of the institute remains the major aim of the body as the Rector once stated in his first interview with the press on Monday, 28th August, 2023 when he assumed office and also hoped that the body would be called upon to be part of the mission and developmental process within the Institute.

The Alumni body also spoke on the recent activities of the association in the institute which included the sensitisation program that was organized to eradicate immoralities among the students and to ensure that the female students are not sexually harassed within and outside the campus.

In his response,  the Rector appreciated the alumni body while ensuring them to always reach out to him as his office is always open to everybody.

Furthermore,  the Rector encouraged the alumni body to be more diligent and later declared that his Management team has removed the disparity for the Institute’s graduates with distinction class of diploma and such would no longer be employed as Instructor but as  Assistant Lecturer into the system while mentioning that Miss. Aminat Adenuga  who was the overall best graduating student during the last convocation ceremony has been considered to enjoy this new policy.

In conclusion, the alumni body presented a roll up banner as gifts to the Rector to show their delight in his appointment as the 3rd substantive Rector of the Institute and to collaborate with the Management  team in actualization of the  agenda to develop their alma mata.

Miss. Temidire Bankole, Mr. Temitayo Jethro,  and Mr. Adekunle Akanle.
