NYSC Announces November 6, 2025, as Passing-Out Date for 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Thursday, November 6, 2025, as the official date for the passing-out ceremony of 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 corps members across the country.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, announcing that the management approved a low-key ceremony to mark the completion of the one-year mandatory national service.
According to the statement, activities leading up to the event will begin with career and job advisory sessions, designed to prepare corps members for life after service. These sessions will take place across various local government areas nationwide and will include guidance on entrepreneurship, employability, and business development.
The NYSC management also confirmed that Zonal Inspectors will oversee the signing and issuance of final clearance letters, which will officially mark the end of the service year for the outgoing corps members.
The Director-General of the scheme, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, extended his best wishes to all corps members completing their service year, as well as to monitoring officers who have supported the process throughout the year. He urged corps members to reflect on the values of patriotism, discipline, and community service instilled during their time in the program.
The 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream One orientation course began on October 23, 2024, and ended on November 12, 2024, with training conducted simultaneously across all 37 NYSC orientation camps in Nigeria. The orientation included paramilitary drills, leadership training, entrepreneurship development through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, and community integration activities.
Following their orientation, corps members were deployed to their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) in sectors such as education, health, agriculture, and public administration. Many also contributed to community development projects, including health outreach programs, environmental cleanups, and educational initiatives in rural communities.
The NYSC management has consistently emphasized the importance of the service year in nation-building, urging graduates to use the platform to acquire practical experience and develop new skills that will make them more competitive in the job market.
General Nafiu encouraged corps members to maintain the spirit of unity and national integration, which remains the core objective of the NYSC. He also advised them to uphold integrity and discipline as they transition into the next phase of their careers.
The statement concluded with a reminder that the passing-out exercise is not only a celebration of service but also a stepping stone toward greater responsibilities in the workforce and in community development.
With the growing number of graduates completing the NYSC annually, the government continues to collaborate with both private and public institutions to create employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young Nigerians.
The NYSC remains a critical platform for promoting national cohesion, youth empowerment, and leadership development — values that have shaped the lives of millions of Nigerian graduates since the scheme was established in 1973.
