NOA Takes Campaign Against Social Vices to 2025 NIPOGA Games Orientation Programme at Federal Polytechnic Offa.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has extended its nationwide campaign against social vices to the orientation programme for the 2025 Nigeria Polytechnics Games (NIPOGA) hosted by the Student Union Government of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.
Speaking on Saturday at the event, the NOA Kwara State Director, Alhaji Dare Abdulganiyu, emphasized the need for Nigerian youths to shun negative behaviours such as drug abuse, cultism, cybercrime, and exam malpractice.
Alhaji Dare urged participants at the NIPOGA to leverage the unifying power of sports to foster national cohesion and ethical values.
*“Sports is not just about competition; it is a platform for character-building, discipline, and patriotism. As future leaders, you must uphold integrity and contribute positively to Nigeria’s development,”* the NOA Director stated.
The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Engr. DR. Kadiri O. Kamoru commended NOA for integrating moral reorientation into the NIPOGA games, noting that the institution remains committed to producing well-rounded graduates.
The initiative, according to him, aims to promote patriotism, unity, and responsible citizenship among student-athletes beyond the spirit of sportsmanship.
The campaign featured interactive sessions, pledges against social vices, and the distribution of advocacy materials by NOA, NDLEA and KWASACA.
In continuation of the NIPOGA games, the NOA Director and his entourage also joined distinguished dignitaries at the opening ceremony of the 22nd NIPOGA games, hosted by Management of Federal Polytechnic Offa.
At the epoch making event, the lighting of the flame cauldron and the opening football match were taken among other ceremonial events attended by an array of guests from the town and gown.
Hundreds of students, officials, and stakeholders who attended the programme, where admonished to champion the message of unity and responsible conduct.
The 2025 NIPOGA Games, scheduled to hold between 5th & 12th April, is bringing together over 50 Polytechnics nationwide in a display of talent, teamwork, and national pride.
