NIPOGA GAMES, RECTOR, DR. AWUZIE URGES FED POLY OKO CONTINGENT TO GO FOR GOALS

The Rector Federal Polytechnic Oko Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie has stressed the need for students to be good ambassadors of the institution and maintain the good name the Polytechnic is known for.
Dr. Awuzie stated this at the opening ceremony of the ongoing 22nd edition of the Nigeria Polytechnic Games(NIPOGA) tagged ” IJAKADI 2024″ at the Federal Polytechnic Offa Kwara State.
The Rector who was represented by Engr. Ogonna Nwokoye (Director, Skills acquisition and Development Centre) urged the Polytechnic’s representatives to go for goals and nothing but goals in all their sporting activities.
Engr. Nwokoye assured them that the Rector is solidly behind them in all their endeavours to bring laurels to the School.
“We are looking for nothing but goals.
You have the full support of the Rector, therefore go for goals, he reiterated”.
He expressed optimism that the Federal Polytechnic Oko is known for diligence and doggedness, stressing that now is the time to put all these into practice to lift our Polytechnic higher in the committee of Federal Polytechnics.
The opening ceremony attracted members of the National Assembly, first class traditional rulers, the academia and other important dignitaries from all walks of life .
Lighting of NIPOGA torch and match past by various Polytechnics added glamour to the occasion.
