Tragedy struck the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, as news broke late Thursday about the sudden passing of Mr. Olawale T. A. (popularly known as Shonubi), the Head of the Computer Science Department.
Mr. Shonubi, a respected academic and mentor, was more than just a lecturer to his students. He was admired for his dedication to teaching, his unwavering principles, and the personal connection he maintained with many undergraduates.
“He was a teacher, not a cheater; he was like a father to us,” wrote Popoola Oluwatimilehin, one of his students. “When Oga taught us, he always reminded us that the more you read, the more you know. Your impact, influence, caring, love, courage, and motivation are unforgettable in my heart.”

As tributes pour in, the institution and its students continue to mourn the loss of a man who shaped many lives within and beyond the classroom.
