Tears in Eruwa: Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Mourns Death of Beloved HOD, Mr. Olawale Shonubi

Tragedy struck the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, as news broke late Thursday about the sudden passing of Mr. Olawale T. A. (popularly known as Shonubi), the Head of the Computer Science Department.
Mr. Shonubi, a respected academic and mentor, was more than just a lecturer to his students. He was admired for his dedication to teaching, his unwavering principles, and the personal connection he maintained with many undergraduates.
“He was a teacher, not a cheater; he was like a father to us,” wrote Popoola Oluwatimilehin, one of his students. “When Oga taught us, he always reminded us that the more you read, the more you know. Your impact, influence, caring, love, courage, and motivation are unforgettable in my heart.”
The late HOD’s death has left a deep void within the school community, with students and colleagues alike expressing grief over the loss of a man many described as a pillar of inspiration.
As tributes pour in, the institution and its students continue to mourn the loss of a man who shaped many lives within and beyond the classroom.
