The Polytechnic Igbo-Owu went into active operation in 2014, as the first private Polytechnic in Ilorin, Kwara State. With the Polytechnic starting first in Osere/Asa-Dam which was her take-off campus, the temporary campus.

The polytechnic was established in 2015. It offers ND and HND programmes. The polytechnic Igbo Owu is located behind Federal Mortgage Bank,Off Asa Dam/Osere Road Junction,Ilorin, Kwara state.
