Mater Dei Polytechnic is a private polytechnic established at Ugwuoba in Oji-River Local Government Area of Enugu State. The founder, Rev. Fr. Uche Igboamalu C.M.F, noticed lots of anomalies going on in Nigerian institutions of higher learning and was challenged to establish one that addresses those moral challenges as well as aid many Nigerians who cannot afford learning in the universities and polytechnics. 

The journey for the establishment of the school began in 2012. Mater Dei Polytechnic went through a series of inspection and developmental stages until it was approved to take off this year by the national Board for Technical Education and the minister of Education.

The polytechnic offers full-time and part-time programmes in the following courses:

1. Computer Science
2. Computer Engineering
3. Electrical/electronics Engineering
4. Statistics
5. Public Administration

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Mater Dei Poly requires all candidates applying for admission into any of its courses to possess five credit O’Level passes which must include a credit pass in English Language and a Science subject in not more than two sittings.

Entry requirements for Direct Entry must include screening requirements for that particular course.
