ILARO POLY STUDENTS TO NAPS: PLEASE COME TO OUR AID, WE NEED YOUR HELP

The Students of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro has called on the National Association of Polytechnic students (NAPS) to come to their aid as the management of the institution directed that all new students must pay school fees on or before November 11th 2022 or risk forfeiture of admission.
The students lamented that the school management was inconsiderate in their decision asking students to pay school fees despite the fact that the polytechnic is yet to commence the 2022/2023 academic session.
One of the student who spoke with POLYTV on condition of anonymity said, “We need NAPS, NANS intervention in our school, the school management stated that any student who fails to pay school fees before November 11th should consider his or her admission terminated, Our SUG have become voiceless”
The student added that life in federal polytechnic Ilaro has become a hell for students as the landlord and caretakers in the polytechnic community increases their rent for the 2022/2023 session and likewise the school management approved an increase in tuition fees for the session and still mandated that all students should pay before November 11th.
The SUG president when contacted by POLYTV on the pressing matter did not respond to the messages sent to his line and has yet to get back to us as at the time of filing this report.
