FG Launches Inspire Live(s) Online Classes for Nigerian Secondary School Students Nationwide

The Federal Ministry of Education has officially launched the Inspire Live(s) Online Real-Time Classes Initiative, a nationwide digital learning platform designed to broaden access to quality education for students across Nigeria.
According to the Ministry, the programme is a key component of the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. It aims to tackle persistent challenges in the education sector, including teacher shortages and disruptions to classroom learning.
By streaming interactive lessons live to students, the initiative ensures equitable access to quality education, allowing children from all regions to participate fully, regardless of their circumstances.
Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, confirmed that the programme has already commenced and will eventually cover all classes from Primary 1 to Senior Secondary 3. Currently, Inspire Live(s) provides online lessons for Junior and Senior Secondary School students, conducted Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., by certified master teachers via Cisco Webex.
Subjects Offered
For Junior Secondary School students, subjects include: Basic Science, Mathematics, English Language, ICT, Agricultural Science, Basic Technology, Civic Education, French, Physical Education, Religious Studies, History, and Business Studies.
For Senior Secondary School students, lessons cover: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing/Catering Craft, Civic Education, and Automobile Mechanics.
To ensure nationwide engagement, the Ministry has instructed all state Commissioners for Education to nominate State Focal Officers to coordinate the programme and to circulate details to both public and private school principals. Schools designated for participation must have basic ICT facilities and internet connectivity to facilitate smooth access.
The programme is open to all Nigerian schools, public and private alike, with registration managed strictly through school principals via official Inspire support channels.
The initiative represents a major step toward digital transformation in Nigerian education, promising to bridge learning gaps and prepare students for the demands of the modern world.
