Federal Polytechnic Ukana Opens Post-UTME Admission for 2025/2026 Academic Session

Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Akwa Ibom State, has officially commenced the sale of Post-UTME forms for admission into its National Diploma (ND) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates who wish to pursue career-oriented academic training at the institution.

Available ND Programmes

The Polytechnic offers a wide range of National Diploma courses across five schools:

SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES

• ND in Computer Science
• ND in Environmental Science and Management Technology
• ND in Science Laboratory Technology
• ND in Statistics

SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTS

• ND in Library and Information Science
• ND in Mass Communication

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

• ND in Civil Engineering Technology
• ND in Computer Engineering Technology
• ND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology
• ND in Mechanical Engineering Technology

SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

• ND in Architectural Technology
• ND in Quantity Surveying
• ND in Urban and Regional Planning

SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

• ND in Accountancy
• ND in Banking and Finance

General Entry Requirements

To qualify for admission into any of the ND programmes, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, SSCE, NABTEB, or equivalent examinations.
• Must have sat for the 2025 JAMB UTME and selected Federal Polytechnic Ukana as their first choice of institution.
• Candidates who initially did not choose Federal Polytechnic Ukana can still apply by visiting any JAMB CBT centre to effect a change of institution.

How to Apply

Prospective candidates are required to:

1. Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre and change their first choice institution to Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, ensuring the new course selected aligns with the programmes offered by the Polytechnic.
2. Proceed to the Polytechnic’s Bursary Department to pay the Post-UTME screening fee of ₦2,000 (two thousand naira only).
3. Await further communication regarding the date and details of the screening exercise.
