Federal Polytechnic Oko Holds 42nd Matriculation Ceremony, Admits New Students Into 2025/2026 Academic Session

Federal Polytechnic Oko has successfully held its 42nd Matriculation Ceremony, formally admitting a new cohort of students into the institution for the current academic session in a colourful and well-organized event that underscored the Polytechnic’s commitment to quality education and institutional excellence.
The ceremony marked another significant milestone in the history of the Polytechnic and was conducted under the purposeful leadership of the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie. Her administration has continued to strengthen academic standards, promote discipline, and reposition the institution as a leading centre for technical and vocational education in Nigeria.
The matriculation exercise was characterized by orderliness, adherence to academic tradition, and a strong sense of purpose, reflecting the institution’s core values and the steady progress being recorded under its current management.
Addressing the newly admitted students, Dr. Awuzie described their admission as a rare opportunity that comes with responsibility. She urged them to remain focused on their academic pursuits, uphold good character, avoid all forms of misconduct, and fully embrace discipline and hard work. According to her, these qualities are essential for academic success and for producing graduates who can compete favourably in today’s dynamic labour market.
She further encouraged the students to take advantage of the Polytechnic’s academic resources, structured learning environment, and moral guidance to develop both intellectually and professionally, adding that the institution is committed to producing skilled, innovative, and globally relevant graduates.
The 42nd Matriculation Ceremony reaffirms Federal Polytechnic Oko’s dedication to knowledge, character development, and service, as it continues to play a critical role in manpower development and national economic growth.
The newly matriculated students were congratulated and officially welcomed into the Polytechnic community, with assurances of a supportive academic environment designed to nurture excellence and future leadership.
