Federal Polytechnic Offa Clinches Hosting Rights for NIPOSSGA 2027 — Sets New Record as Nigeria’s Fastest-Rising Polytechnic

In yet another remarkable achievement, The Federal Polytechnic Offa has secured the hosting rights for the 2027 Nigerian Polytechnic Senior Staff Games (NIPOSSGA), affirming its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading institutions in academic, sporting, and infrastructural excellence.

The announcement was formally conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary-General of the Council of Heads of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in Nigeria (COHEADS), Mas’ud Elelu, FNIM, FCSN. The decision followed the Council’s 160th Regular Meeting, where members unanimously endorsed The Federal Polytechnic Offa as the next host institution.

This latest milestone adds to the institution’s growing list of national accomplishments. It follows the resounding success of the 22nd Nigerian Polytechnic Games (NIPOGA) earlier this year — an event widely hailed as the most organized and best-hosted edition in the history of the games. The Polytechnic’s impressive sports facilities, serene environment, and seamless coordination during NIPOGA 2024 set new standards across the Nigerian Polytechnic system.

In recognition of these achievements, the Federal Government designated The Federal Polytechnic Offa as a Centre of Excellence in Sports, paving the way for the introduction of new academic programmes in sports and related disciplines starting from the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Rector, Engr. Dr. Kamaru Oluwatoyin Kadiri, FNSE, FNISET, has been widely commended for his visionary leadership and commitment to continuous progress.
