EDE POLY Governing Council Denies Extending Rector’s Tenure

The Governing council of The Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun state has denied extending the tenure of the incumbent rector, Dr Adekolawole stating that the news trending in some speculated areas is fallacy and untrue and should be totally disregarded.

The council disclosed this to POLYTV after their plenary sitting on Monday 20th June 2022, the Council officer Mr Akinpade pleaded with the Polytechnic community to disregard the rumour.

This was contained in a statement issued at the end of the plenary sitting  which in part reads, ” The Governing Council at its Plenary Session held on Monday 20th June, 2022 considered the rumour going round the Polytechnic that the Council was considering granting tenure elongation to the Rector when his tenure expires and stated categorically that there is no iota of truth in the rumour as the Council has not considered and would not consider elongating the tenure of Rector whenever his tenure expires. “The Council pleaded with the Polytechnic Community to disregard the rumour as the advertisement for the position of the Rector has been sent to press for publication”

Moreso, the Dean of Students Affairs Dr Omotosho has advised the Polytechnic students to comply with the Rules and regulations guiding the institution as contained in their student handbook, adding that the school management will no longer condone any act of indecent dressing and defaulters of the school rules.
