Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Entrepreneurship Grant, your organisation must:
Be youth-led, with primary decision-makers aged 18–35
Be legally registered in any of the 12 eligible African countries: Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia (Somaliland), Mozambique, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, or Zimbabwe
Operate as a non-profit, NGO, CBO, Cooperative, or Social Enterprise with a social or environmental mission
Have been in operation for at least 12 months with a formal governance structure and bank account
Show evidence of income-generating activity or a clear plan for financial sustainability
Demonstrate measurable social or environmental impact, such as youth employment, community services, education, climate solutions, or improved livelihoods
Purely profit-driven SMEs without a social mission, or NGOs relying solely on donor grants with no enterprise model, are not eligible.
Grant Focus for 2026
The 2026 cycle prioritizes “responsible growth of youth-led social enterprises.” This includes initiatives working in:
Education and skills development
Health and wellbeing
Environmental sustainability and climate action
Youth employment and job creation
Community development
Innovative social-impact solutions across various sectors
