Education Minister Appoints Dr. Mukhail Akinde as the 6th Substantive Rector of The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro

Dr. Mukhail Aremu Akinde has been announced as the 6TH substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State.

Dr. Akinde, was until his appointment, the Dean, School of Management Studies of the Polytechnic.

The announcement was made in Abuja on Thursday by the Honourable Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu in the presence of the Governing Council Chairman of the institution, Dr (Mrs) Veronica, E. Ogbuagu, another member of the Council, Mrs Iyabo Amodu as well as the wife of the new Rector, Mrs Adenike Akinde.

Dr Akinde according to reports is the son of a newspaper vendor to the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro in early 1980s and is the first indigenous (ilaro) to emerge as Rector since the polytechnic was established.
