Kebbi Polytechnic SUG president Suspended Over Misappropriation of Funds

The SUG President of The Waziri Umaru Federal polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, has been suspended by the Judiciary arm of the Student union government for a period of 7weeks over an allegation of misappropriation of funds of the student union and abuse of office.
The Speaker, Comrade Faruk Abdumalik, confirmed to POLYTV that the SUG president was suspended for failing to remit back the money he diverted for personal use.
Moreso, the SUG welfare director was suspended for a period of 4weeks for misappropriation of funds and abuse of office.
The student union judiciary said that the decision to suspend the duo became necessary after Investigations revealed the executives misused the union funds. According to a statement issued by the judiciary which reads,
“The entire Student Representative Assembly hereby bring to your notice that you are hereby suspended for 7 weeks starting from the time of the resolution made by the parliament members on the 26 June 2022..

The members made this crucial decision of the investigation that you went on, spent the funds meant for the union and warned you to remit back the funds and you failed to do so.”
The suspension of the SUG president alongside his welfare director has caused mixed reaction on campus meanwhile they are yet to issue statements as regard to the allegations leveled against them.
