CONFUSION AS AKWPOLY SUG SHUNS SRC DIRECTIVE, INAUGURATES CLASS REP FORUM

24 hours after Student parliament bans class reps forum and declared their activities illegal on campus, the SUG president of Akwa Ibom state Polytechnic have today inaugurated the class reps forum into office.
During the inauguration ceremony, comrade Bofi, the SUG president said the role played by the course reps led to his emergence as president in the last election alongside his executives thereby appreciating the executives for their support.
He said,
” Let me thank you for your support to me during the last SUG elections which led to my emergence as President and further commend your peaceful behaviour throughout the conduct of class representative forum executives.”
Comrade Kofi charged the class representatives to shun all acts capable of tarnishing their image and that of the institution at large stating that anyone found wanting will face the laws of the school.

He further called for collaboration between the forum and the Union to enable them achieve their set goals.
According to the SUG Director of information, the newly inaugurated Chairman of the forum thanked the SUG President and Parliamentarians by extension for taking the bold step to set up the forum which was long overdue and promised their full support to the 8th Raffia Republic.
The event also featured deliberations of students related issues with a view of solving a majority of it.

The Class Representative Forum executives has in its composition representatives from NDI, NDII, HNDI & HNDII classes.
However, the inauguration of the class representative forum has caused mixed reaction on campus as the legislative arm of the students union government declare the class representative forum activities as illegal.
