‘This Polytechnic Offers You A Unique Place To Excel Among Equals’—Rector Tells Matriculating Students
The Federal Polytechnic Offa has matriculated students for 2024/2025 Academic Session at its 31st matriculation ceremony held on Wednesday 30th April 2025.
The Matriculation Ceremony which took place at the 1000 capacity lecture theatre, main campus was anchored by the Polytechnic spokesperson, Folake Oyinloye and coordinated by the Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Soko.
In his matriculation speech, the Rector, Engr. Dr. Kadiri Kamoru Oluwatoyin FNSE congratulated the newly admitted students for gaining admission into the Polytechnic. He noted that the Polytechnic offers the students a unique place to excel among their peers.
He therefore charged the students to shun cultism, indecent dressing and urged them not to take their admission for granted.
“This success of yours should not be short-lived, you must do everything humanly possible to defend your current champion status,” he stated.
The Jamb Registrar, Prof. Isiaq Oloyede represented by Mr. Habeeb Mayaki, congratulated the matriculating students. He noted that the Federal Polytechnic Offa has followed the required due process for admission and matriculation. He therefore advised the students to be law-abiding.
Giving a goodwill message, the Registrar of Lens Polytechnic Offa, Mr. Hammed Sarafa Olalekan described Federal Polytechnic Offa as an institution producing intellectuals for national development. He advised the newly admitted students to consider themselves lucky for gaining admission into the institution and urged them to be focused to achieve desired success.
Similarly, Captain U.S Okeke representing Nigeria Navy College of Health Sciences commandant advised the students to be law-abiding, shun drug abuse and harmful substances and be good ambassadors of their parents. He added that the Nigerian Navy will continue to collaborate with the institution for adequate security.
The matriculating students were placed on Matriculation oath by the Polytechnic lawyer, Barr. Esther Faremi.
